Gas prices limit solar teams’ participation in ‘rayce’ (The Neosho Daily News)

In a bit of irony, high gasoline prices might have played a factor in low turnout to a solar transport competition this weekend in Neosho. As of Saturday, only 12 high school teams from across the country showed up to the 14th annual Solar Bike Rayce USA, which continues today at Crowder College. The flag goes down at 10 a.m. and the event is open to the public.
